Dennis' mother died in 2003. His father has re-married and no longer lives with Dennis and his older brother Edwin [MGK-034] Dennis and Edwin live in a mud hut close to their adult sister, but, to a large extent, have to fend for themselves.

Dennis takes time to accept a new person, but once he gets to know someone, becomes a good friend and his cheeky, playful nature comes out.

He is a willing worker and has helped a lot in the vegetable plot where his expertise with panga and jembe were put to good use.

Unlike his brother, Dennis supports Manchester City.
